It is official. Suriya and Venkat Prabhu will be coming together for a mega budget film that will be produced by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green and not by the actor’s newly launched banner, 2D Entertainment, as speculated by a section of the media. It is unclear whether the film’s script and genre are the same as that mentioned by the director to this newspaper a few years ago.
In an earlier interview, Prabhu had said, “I narrated a one-liner script to Suriya who liked it very much and has given his nod. It’s a 3D film and the specialty of this would be that unlike other films which are usually shot in the normal format and converted to 3D, this movie will be shot in 3D from the beginning. This film would also be a new and fresh experience for Tamil audiences.”
Inside sources said that Suriya was apparently pleased with Biryani after watching it at a special screening and gave a go-ahead to Venkat Prabhu to work on a detailed script. It is learnt that the Singham star would commence shooting soon after he completes his present film with Lingusamy.
