Ministers to ensure meet with Kiran Kumar Reddy is huge hit
Vijayawada: Three ministers on Wednesday reviewed the ongoing arrangements for the public meeting of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at the Swarajya Maidan on December 7.
Ministers K. Parthasarathi, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Erasu Pratap Reddy, along with administration officers visited the venue.
Speaking to reporters later, Parthasarathi said that the state would take the legal route to counter the Krishna Water Dispute Tribunal’s verdict.
“The Chief Minister will soon call an all-party meeting to discuss steps to be taken against the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal’s verdict on Krishna water sharing,” Srinivasa Rao said.
The ministers called upon farmers to attend the public meeting in large numbers and ensure that the meeting is a huge success.
They said that the Pulichintala project would benefit farmers of the Krishna delta. “It will be a dream come true for the farmers as the project had overcome several hurdles to its completion,” Srinivasa Rao said.
Earlier Parthsarathi conducted review meeting with officials of Pulichintala project and Jaggaiapeta and asked them to complete the pending work as soon as possible.
He said that 19 gates have been erected so far while work on five gates was pending.
