Low pressure to become a depression

Low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a depression.
Hyderabad: The well-marked low pressure area positioned over southwest Bay of Bengal was expected to intensify into a depression by Wednesday night.
“The further course of the depression can be only studied in a few days. It is still situated far away from the coast and there are chances that it might fizzle out,” said S.V.S.S. Ramakrishna, the head of the Department of Oceanology and Meteorology, Andhra University. The minimum temperatures fell appreciably at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and changed a little in Rayalaseema.
The lowest minimum temperature of 16ºC was recorded at Adilabad. For the next couple of days, rain or thundershowers could occur at isolated places in the districts of Nellore and Prakasam of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Chittoor of Rayalaseema.
