Bangalore: Chandrika Joshi of Kinesis Tennis Academy and K. Sandesh emerged champs in the Global Tennis Academy's AITA Talent Series U-12 tournament on Tuesday .
Chandrika bagged her second title of the season defeating P.Shruthi 6-4, 6-3 in the girls final while Sandesh ousted P.
Sharanyan 7-6 (2), 6-4 for the boys' crown.
Results: U-12 boys: K. Sandesh bt Sharanyan 7-6 (2), 6-4. Semifinals: Sandesh bt Adarsh Arun 6-2, 7-6 (3); Sharanyan bt R Rajesh Kannan 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Girls: Chandrika Joshi bt P. Shruthi 6-4, 6-3. Semifinals: Shruthi bt Reshma Maruri 6-2, 6-1; Chandrika bt P. Yasharwini 6-0, 6-3.
Bangalore: B.R.Nikshep of Karnataka entered the boys pre-quarter-finals at the CCI-ITF Junior tennis tournament in Mumbai defeating Manav Pondkule of Maharashtra 6-1, 6-0 at the CCI courts on Tuesday . In doubles, Nikshep and his regular partner Alex Solanki entered the quarter-finals with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Pondkule and Dhir Gala.
