Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's directorial debut 'Oralpokkam', which is also the debut acting venture of Meena Kandasamy is progressing with its shoot.
The movie, which will have Prakash Bare playing the lead along with Meena, has many unique features like being the first online crowd funded movie in Malayalam.
The director says there will be unique features in its screening as well.
“The movie will first go for some festival screenings and later hit the theatres. We are thinking about scheduling the theatre releases according to audience requests. Anand Gandhi's 'Ship of Theseus' had followed this format and screened films based on online polling. It was a huge success. So we thought why not introduce it here. It's a sign of how the audience have reached a level where they accept and demand good films. We are also planning an online release along with theatre screening so that people can have easy access to the movie," says Sanal.
