Sonu Sood returns tougher, fitter
Usually seen playing the bad guy, Sonu Sood will be seen dancing in his upcoming film 'R… Rajkumar'. Speaking of which, the actor says, “I have done 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' with Prabhu Deva before and when he told me that I’d have to shake a leg, I thought I should try it out. It is an important part of the film and I am glad Prabhu likes my work.”
Sonu admits that the film got a little delayed due to his injury earlier this year. But thanks to a very accommodating director, things were smooth. “When I was lying in the hospital after the injury, I decided that I want to return to the sets fitter than I have ever been. All my friends and colleagues including Prabhu Deva showed support and postponed the shoot till I got well.” Best known for his bad cop roles, Sonu says he isn’t worried about being typecast. “I am doing different films like 'Happy New Year' and 'It’s Entertainment'. The latter is an all-out comedy — something I have never done before,” he says.
But do these multiple projects take a toll on his personal and family time? He says, “It is a sacrifice I have to make, but my family joins me on the sets at times. When I am at home I make sure to have lunch and dinner with family and spend as much time as possible with them. I want to make them feel proud of my achievements.”
