Madhuri Dixit's film to be delayed?
Looks like Madhuri Dixit’s fans are going to have to wait a little longer for her comeback. Vishal Bhardwaj’s 'Dedh Ishqiya', scheduled to release on January 10 may just be pushed by a few weeks, thanks to the film’s dates being very close to those of 'Mr Joe B Carvalho'. Buzz is that since Arshad Warsi is part of both films, he may not be able to promote the two simultaneously.
“'Mr Joe B Carvalho' which is produced by his long standing secretary Bhola, is arriving on January 3. If Vishal’s team decides to push the release, they’ll have to push it to February since they wouldn’t want it to clash with Salman’s 'Jai Ho' arriving on January 24. So it might be a long wait before 'Dedh Ishqiya' hits the theatres,” says an insider.
While there has been no official communication from either either Shemaroo or Vishal Bhardwaj yet, Arshad says, “I spoke to people at Shemaroo and the film is coming on January 10 for sure. We are working out a plan so that once I am back from Coorg, where I am currently shooting for some songs for 'Mr Joe B Carvalho', I could promote both the films simultaneously. On a modest and lighter note, he adds, “The excitement that I will create by visiting five cities for promotion, Madhuri can do with just one tweet.”
