Hyderabad: Aditi, Khamreen and Rakshitha C. advanced to the semifinals of the under-10 girls singles competition at the T.R. Open tennis tournament for boys and girls, organised by the Padmanjali Tennis Coaching Centre on their premises at Bowenpally in Secunderabad. Aditi defeated Steisha Buddhala 7-2, Rakshitha blanked Tanushitha Reddy 7-0 and Khamreen breezed past Vidhithi 7-3.
Meanwhile, Jaivanth Ganesh, Vedhari and Mihir Paracha entered the last four stage of the boys under-8 event.
Jaivanth crushed Anvith 6-1, Vedhari thrashed Numan 6-1 and Mihir beat Jai Krishna 6-3.
Tanushitha never stood a chance against Rakshitha, who hit the ground running. She unleashed a flurry of strokes to win the match in quick time.
