Bollywood actors are turning singers. It will not be long before the singers will be relegated to the background and the actors take centrestage.
The latest actor to croon her own song is Meera Nandhaa. But this comes as no surprise since she has been singing on television as well as on stage. Meera will sing a number in VK Prakash’s Mammootty-Pallavi Joshi starrer 'Silence'.
The music director of the film Ratheesh Vega says, “Actually the decision to ask Meera to sing was taken by VKP and me and it is sheer coincidence that we zeroed in on Meera. We felt this song needed a different style of rendering and thought that her voice was different. I can confidently say that she has sung the song beautifully.”
Obviously Meera has impressed the composer with her rendition of "Mazhayude ormakal vilolam peythuvo…" which is why Ratheesh pronounces a bright future for the young star as a singer!
