Kochi: Olympian P.T. Usha will inaugurate the north leg of Goal 2014 intercollegiate football tournament at Koyilandi on Monday.
There are 24 teams competing for '1.5 lakh prize money. Matches will be played in two legs before the final phase that is set for January.
The Koyilandi leg with 12 teams will be from December 1 to 8 and followed by the south leg at municipal public stadium in Thiruvalla from December 11 to 17.
The semifinalists from each zone reach the eight-team final phase that is set to be hosted by Sacred Heart college ground in Thevara from January 5 to 12.
