Not many are aware that comedian-turned-hero Sunil and director Trivikiram Srinivas were roommates for several years. Both of them even started their careers around the same time and after an impressive debut, Sunil went on to become one of the top comedians of Telugu cinema. He followed up the success by turning into a leading man as well.
“When I entered the industry, my main aim was to play a villain in Rajamouli’s film,” shares Sunil, who eventually worked with the Eega director, but as the lead actor in 'Maryada Ramanna'. “Even now, if he offers me a negative character, I will do it,” he adds. While he was seen in over a dozen films a year as a comedian, Sunil is now restricted to just two to three films. But he’s not complaining. “I don’t mind doing only three to four films a year as long as my roles are good,” he says
