Vijay and Ramesh share a great bond at 'Jilla' shoot

Actor Ramesh, popularly known as Jitthan Ramesh, returns after a hiatus.

Actor Ramesh, popularly known as Jitthan Ramesh, returns after a hiatus -this time around as the producer of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Pongal offering 'Jilla'.

Made in his father RB Choudhary's home banner, Ramesh who had taken a brief sabbatical from acting, is looking after 'Jilla's' production affairs.

Speaking to DC in an exclusive, he says, “It was a great experience shooting with Vijay anna. We got along very well and there's no actual producer-star relationship on the sets. It was fun. Whenever I go and chat with Vijay anna during breaks, he would ask me to tell a joke. Then, he would burst out in laughter. No sooner the shot gets ready, he would immediately tell me 'stay away and don't come near me'. He feared he would start his laughing session if he saw my face."

He revealed that a set which cost more than Rs 1,000,000 was put up at Annapoorna Studios in Hyderabad where a groovy number was shot recently.

“The song in Imman's composition featured Vijay, Kajal Agarwal, Scarlett, (the British model who did an item number in Puri Jagannathan's 'Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu') and Hazel, a model from Mumbai. The song has come out very well and it will be a huge hit," Ramesh vouches.

Opening songs play a crucial role for any mass star. And, Vijay's intro song has a major significance to his fans.

Ramesh says they have planned a mass commercial song for Ilayathalapathy's intro song, which will be shot in Pollachi -a lucky place for Vijay when it comes to his opening numbers.

“We have designed Vijay's intro number on a grand scale in Raju Sundaram's choreography in Pollachi with a thousand junior artistes and 80 dancers. The song also has a lot of bearing in the script. Though it will be a big task to control the entire group, Vijay being a 'dance master's delight' and his dancing prowess being common knowledge, I am confident that Raju would pull it off without much hassle," he says, in parting.
