I am not really a hands-on father: Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan is excited about celebrating his son Azad’s second birthday this December. Being the youngest kid in the family and a pet of both Aamir and Kiran, Azad has a special attachment to his dad.
“Azad has brought a lot of happiness in our lives. He never allows me to get out of the door when I am going for shoots. I, thus, have to regularly take him with me. Azad also loves to imitate my dance steps and enjoys dancing with me,” says the actor with a smile.
Aamir, however, adds, “I am not a hands-on father. But I am also a good father. The problem with me is that I am very self-centered and I get involved with my work extensively. However, whenever I get time, I narrate stories to Azad. He will be turning two on December and though we will be celebrating his birthday, we have not yet planned anything about it.”
About his older children, Junaid and Ira, Aamir says, “I am happy that Junaid is learning direction. He, however, never discusses it with me. But if Ira and Junaid are interested in films they will get my full support. And it will indeed be good as Kiran and I are both professionals in the film arena so together, as a family, we can do something creative.”
