RINL?inks pact with KGH?for new block
Visakhapatnam Steel plant signs MoU with King George Hospital for infrastructure development.
Visakhapatnam: RINL- Visakhapatnam Steel plant (VSP) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) here on Friday with King George Hospital (KGH), Visakhapatnam, for development of infrastructure, as part of which a multi-storeyed complex would be built at the old ENT building on KGH premises. The RINL would provide a financial assistance of Rs 2 crore this financial year and further aid would be extended annually, in subsequent years.
RINL deputy general manager (CSR), G. Madhava Rao and KGH superintendent, Dr P. Madhusudan Babu signed the MoU.
RINL CMD, A.P. Choudhary said RINL-VSP is always in the forefront for active participation in health and medical care projects. It had already partnered with several other projects in and around Visakhapatnam.
He also informed that RINL will extend all help to KGH in its development so that public of north coastal Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring states of Orissa, Chhattisgarh will be benefited by this project.
Dr Madhusudan Babu said the proposed new block is a seven-storeyed building, each storey spread in 25,000 square feet area.
The sub-cellar and cellar will be catered for cancer cobalt unit (Radiation Oncology dept.) and parking facilities while the ground and first floors would house the medical and surgical oncology specialties.
Intensive care units, operating room complex and operation theatres, surgical and orthopedic wards will be in the second, third, fourth and fifth floors while the sixth and seventh floors will have lecture halls, conference halls, library and Arogyasri wards.
He informed that the project will be executed by Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC) and hoped that it would be of immense help to the public in and around Vizag.
