When Tollywood’s Puri Jagannath announced some months ago that he’s trying his hand at a love story, fans were certainly thrilled.
And now, they’re just plain surprised.
The director has released two very bizarre promos for the upcoming flick. And the captions read — “falling for girl is fun but being in love is pain”, and, “I need a one hour kiss to burn 3000 calories”.
So, DC got in touch with Puri to ask him about a) What he was thinking and b), if he was expecting any trouble from the censor board — keeping in mind current sympathies around objectification of women in cinema.
“I don’t mean to cause alarm and I don’t think it will hurt anybody’s sentiments. In fact, I got a good response for the promos. The first caption is the basic plot of the film and the second one is actually a dialogue from the movie, when the protagonist asks the heroine for a kiss.”
Currently in Goa, the director also dismissed accusations that the promo was downright cheesy.
“I’m targeting the youth with these tag lines and yes, the film should have a bit of a romantic touch to it.” Though we suspect, the promos are aimed at creating a viral attempt online.
Puri is planning to release 'Heart Attack', starring Nithin and Ada Sharma for the coming Sankranti, and audio will be released later this December.
