HC verdict on BSY appeals today

Karnataka High Court may announce judgment on two appeals filed by B.S. Yeddyurappa.
Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court is on Friday expected to pronounce its judgment on the two appeals filed by former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa seeking to quash two private complaints (5&6) filed against him by advocate Sirajin Basha alleging pec­uniary advantage rec­eived by M/s. Dava­lagiri pr­o­pe­rty Devel-­opers private limited promoted by his kin.
The former CM had filed the appeal after a single bench of the high court had dismissed his petitions, while observing that it was ‘premature’ to decide over quashing of private complaints in questions at this stage.
The complaints also acc­use Yeddyurappa, his sons and other with criminal breach of trust committed by illegal denotification of land measuring 11.25 acres of land at Sy No. 15/1, 15/2, of Srira­mpura village for the benefit of Besto infrastructure Bangalore Pvt Ltd and illegal allotment of site No.1 to his son B.Y. Ragha­vendra and Site No.2 to Bharati Shetty, MLC, in RMV – II Stage.
Yeddyurappa had also sought to quash complaint number six accusing him of allotting land illegally to R.P. Shankar, uncle of Sohan Kumar, whi­ch was subsequently transferred to Sohan.
The other charges include Illegal gratification obtained by him through the firms managed by his sons’ Davalgiri properties, Bhagat Homes Private Limited from Adarsh Developers in re­turn for allocation of land and approval for residential development plan. It also includes illegal denotification of land.
