Cheema on top, Chikka tied 2nd

Angad Cheema equalled the course record at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club.

Mumbai: Angad Cheema equalled the course record with a seven-under-63 to grab the lead in the opening round of the CG Open 2013 at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club on Wednesday. Cheema began with two birdies and another on the fourth before slumping with two bogeys on the third and fifth.

S. Chikkarangappa of Bangalore was placed tied second at six-under-64 along with Delhi's Rashid Khan. Chikka came up with a bogey-free 64 that placed him joint second along with Rolex Rankings leader Khan whose round of 64 featured seven birdies and a bogey.
