Sachin's 200th Test celebratory bat up for grabs
Mumbai: Over the years, Sachin Tendulkar has received many gifts and mementos but the one closest to his heart is still the coins he received from his childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar for not getting out in the net sessions.
Tendulkar said he loves collecting memorabilia and has in his possession an autographed glove of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
“I think the most important memorabilia for me is the coins that I have got from my coach Achrekar sir, those are the most important ones,“ Tendulkar said at the launch of 'Collectabillia Celebrity Walls' at Lounge by Cafe Coffee Day in Mumbai. It will exhibit unique sports memorabilia such as the recently launched Sachin Tendulkar 200th Test Commemorative Autographed Bat, along with Boxing Gloves signed by the legendary Ali and other autographed merchandise.
Sachin's love for music and motorsports is well known and Tendulkar added that he is looking forward to a surprise from his ardent fan and melody queen Lata Mangeshkar.
“Something which I am really looking forward to is Lata Didi has promised me something, so hopefully I should have that with me.
It is a surprise. It will be a special one.“ A big fan of Dire Straights and Mark Knopfler, Tendukar also has a signed personalized guitar from the famous musician.
