Ranveer gearing up for 'Gunday'
After 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela', Ranveer Singh is indulging his dramatic streak with his next, 'Gunday', as well. With the promo generating a positive response, Ranveer is gearing up for a good start to 2014 with this Valentine’s Day release. The film also marks his return to the YRF stable after a gap of two projects and that is what Ranveer is excited about.
“Indeed. I have worked with people at YRF for so many years and know the unit. The camaraderie is good and the people really young. Like my director, Ali Abbas Zafar, is one of the brightest new guys you would find in the industry. One thing that I can take from 'Gunday' is that when there is good energy, it shows.”
However, insiders insinuate that there was a little too much “energy” on the sets, what with Ranveer and co-star Arjun Kapoor believed to be engaged in a game of one-upmanship throughout the shoot. When asked about it, Ranveer says, “You can’t be talking of being one up, that’s not the right approach. You have to work in tandem. If any one of us won’t do that then it would show on screen.” Ranveer is happy with the response to the promos. “'Gunday' is the kind of film that I have grown up on. I have loved watching these films as a kid and during my teenage years. What could be more exciting than this to be acting in one as well?” he says.
