Deepika Padukone opts out of Karan’s film

After the success of 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', every filmmaker wants to encash on Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s onscreen chemistry and their commercial viability.

Their good friend Karan Johar, who produced 'YJHD', had to seal the deal to cast them in his next film before others could get there. But now it looks as though there is some change in Karan’s plan. Word is that Deepika might not be a part of her favourite gang. Reason?

Apparently Ranbir and Deepika have already committed to Imtiaz Ali's next film.

“Chances are that both Imtiaz and Karan might start and release their respective projects around the same time. To avoid the clash and a subsequent overexposure of the pair, Deepika has opted out of the film. But she is in talks with Dharma productions for another film," says a close source. With the slot open now, both Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are rumoured to be vying for it.

Insiders claim that both of them have a good chance but there can only be one winner.
