Music and dance extravaganza

Music-Naatya Festival 2013 will end today with violin duet concert by Nagai Muralidharan and Nagai Sriram.

The ongoing cultural fest of RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Thripunithura, Music-Naatya Festival 2013 has presented the city with musical and dance extravaganza. The event comes to an end today with a violin duet concert by Nagai Muralidharan and Nagai Sriram from 6 pm at the Sriram from 6 pm at the Pandit Ravi Shankar Conservatory.

The music fest, inaugurated by M.K. Sanu on November 21, kicked off with a flute recital by Pandit Rupak Kulkarni accompanied on the table by Hindole Majumdar. The fest also featured a Bharatanatyam kutcheri by Mythili Prakash, a Kathakali performance of Kaalakeya Vadham by Kalamandalam Gopi and party, a Carnatic music concert by T.V. Shankara Narayanan, V.V. Ravi, M. Balasubramon V.V. Ravi, M. Balasubramoniam and Vaikom R.

Gopalakrishnan, and a Mohiniyattom recital by Smitha Rajan and party. A percussion concert by Chithrangana Agle Reshwal and a sarod recital by Joydeep Ghosh featured as part of the fest. A film fest on visual art was also organised as part of the event which screened films from the collection of Dorothea Machingal and was inaugurated by popular artist and curator Bose Krishnamachari.
