A two-and-a-half minute song has put the glamorous Ragini Dwivedi in the spotlight, big time!
In her first appearance in Prabhudeva's next directorial venture 'R... Rajkumar', she has arrived in B-Town with a bang. The teaser video of "Kaddu Katega" mixed with the trailer of the film has crossed two lakh hits on Youtube, and the actress is excited over the overwhelming response.
The actress who is on a role, post her dhamakedar dancing in "Kaddu Katega" song, reveals, “It's fabulous that my performance in the "Kaddu Katega" song has been appreciated so much. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Prabhudeva and the rest of the team."
When asked whether she had expected such a response, Ragini says that initially, she jumped at an opportunity to work with Prabhudeva when he asked her to be a part of his next project. “I just accepted the offer as Prabhudeva had asked me to do it. Eventually, it turned out to be such a rage. I am glad that everyone who has seen my work has appreciated it. So much so, that I am being portrayed as the next big thing in Bollywood, to watch out for!" she says.
The actress who has been busy working in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films, has also featured in few sizzling special numbers like "Tuppa Beka Tuppa..." in 'Kalla Malla Sulla' starring crazy star Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Vijay Ragha-vendra and "Akka Nin Magalu Nange Chikolu Agalva..." from the comedy film 'Victory' starring Sharan, which recently completed 75 days.
Ragini hopes to finish the year on a high with her film 'Ragini IPS' which is all set to release in mid-December. She says, “It is really amazing that after "Kaddu Katega", I have been getting film offers and not just songs. Right now, I am busy doing a film with real star Upendra, and have completed at least 60 per cent of the shoot."
She will also be seen in two more Kannada films after the Upendra starrer, one of which is from the house of K Manju Creations, which struck gold with the latest release 'Rajahuli' starring Yash and Meghana Raj.
Her popularity with the latest buzz in Bollywood has resulted in numerous offers but Ragini is busy with her commitments. “Yes, I have been getting similar offers in Kannada films and other languages. I have done so many songs that if I were to begin performing them at award and entertainment events, I could go on for a year."
The "Kaddu Katega" song features Ragini Dwivedi along with Sonu Sood and Scarlett Wilson, who had performed in Mahesh Babu's 'Prem Adda'.
