Mad about acting!

Anita Lawrence 's love for cinema made her relocate from Geneva to home state Kerala.

It is a clichéd statement often mouthed by wannabes -'I entered films because of my passion'. But when Anita Lawrence says this, she has very solid proof to back her statement. Anita has travelled all the way from her base in Geneva to home state Kerala to try her luck in films. Her dream has been realised with her debut in Lal Jose's 'Ezhu Sundara Rathrikkal'.

The curly-haired Anita has always been interested in acting and even went to Toronto, New York and Los Angeles to study acting. An avid traveller, Anita is visibly elated at having landed a chance in a Lal Jose movie.

She says, “Acting in a Mollywood film was an amazing experience! Lal Jose is so simple and a great director. The reality of having finally acted in a Malayalam movie is yet to sink in!"

Born and brought up in Geneva, Anita can understand and speak Malayalam. Anita speaks about her acting methodology, “I try to act in a manner that I am comfortable in! I try to understand the psychology of the character and see that I don't overact in any way!" Anita adds that the leading lady of the movie 'Parvathy Nambiar' took her under her wings and was like an elder sister.

Her luck is holding out. Anita has landed a role in a tele-serial called 'Padasaram', where she plays a foreign VP of an IT company. The serial will ensure she is in Kerala for a while. She considers herself very lucky to get good roles.

The girl, who has no qualms about admitting she is crazy about films, opines, “I am content with Malayalam for now but I don't rule out the possibility of trying in other industries at a later stage."
