Achuta Kumari of Kasturba clinched the men’s and women’s 200 metres gold medals at the OU Inter-College Athletics Championships held at the GMC Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli, in Hyderabad.
Ratan clocked 22 seconds to pip Arunodaya’s Vardhan Reddy for gold in the men’s 200m while Kumari won the women’s event in 27 seconds, 1.4 seconds faster than the second-placed B. Sahiti of Wesley College.
A. Laxmi Ram of Arunodaya won the men’s 800m gold in 1:57.4 while Ch Harshita (2:39.8) of Loyola won the women’s event.
