Kareena Kapoor-Sanjay Leela Bhansali lock horns
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali cannot stop gushing about his leading lady Deepika Padukone after the success of 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela'. In a recent interview, SLB thanked Dippy for stepping up at the last minute after Kareena Kapoor, the first choice for the lead role in the film, walked out at the 11th hour. He also expressed his doubts of working with Kareena in the future.
Recently, during the promotions of 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein', when the actress was asked to react to SLB’s comments, Bebo didn’t bat an eyelid before saying that she didn’t regret not being part of GKRRL despite its commercial success. “I could never have played a Gujarati girl,” she said laughing it off. She also added that Bhansali’s angst was justified, but that she wasn’t too convinced about the project.
This is the second time that a film deal hasn’t worked out between SLB and Bebo. In the past, the director was keen on signing her for 'Bajirao Mastani', but the film never took off for some reason. Even Kareena has multiple times, expressed her desire to work with the director, but unfortunately it has never worked out. Looks like this is one jinxed pairing.
