Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor have been crucial to each other’s success stories. The two will soon start to shoot for Imtiaz’s next film, 'The Window Seat'. But before that, Imtiaz is busy adding finishing touches to his Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt-starrer 'Highway'.
From what we hear, Ranbir wanted to play a cameo in the film, but when he approached Imtiaz with the idea, the director turned it down.
“Ranbir has seen the rushes of 'Highway' and has loved it. That’s the reason he wanted to play a cameo in the film. But Imtiaz thought that having Ranbir in the film might take the limelight away from Randeep and Alia. That’s the only reason that he turned down the idea,” says our source.
Meanwhile, Imtiaz’s creative team has been working on the pre-production of Ranbir and Deepika-starrer 'The Window Seat'. “But the title of the film isn’t confirmed yet. It’s a working title and if required we might change it,” adds our source.
