Kiran corners TD chief on split
Chittoor: Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy cornered his long time political foe and leader of the principal opposition party in the state N. Chandrababu Naidu in his home constituency Kuppam on Sunday.
The CM was participating in the Rachabanda programme in V. Kota of Kuppam constituency cornered the TD chief for leading the state to the verge of bifurcation.
Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that Chandrababu Naidu’s letter favouring bifurcation of state has led the Congress high command to arrive at the decision to form a separate state of Telangana.
The CM challenged Chittoor MP Shiva Prasad, who shared the dais with him, to ask Naidu to withdraw his letter and see the Congress high command take a U-turn over state bifurcation.
CM Kiran also held YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan equally responsible for the bifurcation decision and ridiculed his efforts to hoodwink the people of the state by going on a spree meeting national leaders to stall the process of bifurcation.
He expressed his concerns about the problems that would arise on account of the bifurcation and stressed the advantages of being united.
After the Rachabanda programme, the Chief Minister went to his native constituency Piler where he inaugurated a newly constructed building of Piler Area Development Authority. Kiran then held a closed door meeting with the sarpanchs of Piler constituency.
Kiran Kumar Reddy spent the night at his residence at Nagaripalle and will visit a local temple Gurramkonda to fulfill a pending vow.

Anantapur: Reiterating his stand on Samaikyandhra and opposing the Centre’s unilateral decision on the state’s division, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy called on the other parties to sincerely take part in preventing bifurcation process.
As part of his visit in the Rayalaseema region, CM participated in the third phase of Rachchabanda programme held at Narpala mandal headquarters in the district on Sunday. The CM distributed assets to the beneficiaries and also laid foundation stones for various developmental activities.
