APNGOs to go on flash stir over Telangana decision

APNGOs vows to go on strike If Centre refers draft bill to state Assembly.

Hyderabad: The AP Non-Gazetted Officers’ Association on Sunday threatened to go on a flash strike, if the Centre refers the Telangana Draft Bill to the Legislative Assembly and Parliament for approval.

APNGOs president P. Ashok Babu made it clear that this time there would no serving of strike notices to the government unlike earlier and that they will go on a flash strike to bring pressure on both the Centre and State governments to stall the bifurcation process.

“We are confident that the state will remain united as the draft bill on Telangana will not pass legal scrutiny. Over 150 MLAs have vowed to defeat the Bill in the Assembly.

Even the BJP has made it clear that it won’t support the T-Bill in Parliament unless the Centre does justice to the Seemandhra region,” Ashok Babu said.
