14-year-old jumps in front of moving train
Bangalore: Upset over his parents scolding him to regularly go for tuition, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide by jumping under a moving train near Deepanjali Nagar.
The deceased has been identified as C V Kishore, a ninth standard student. He was the son of Venkatachalam, a private bank employee, and Sunitha. The family hailed from Andhra Pradesh and was residing at Bapujinagar 5th cross. Kishore was studying at a nearby private school.
According to the police, some passersby noticed the body of a boy on the railway track and informed the police on Sunday morning. Investigations revealed that it was Kishore’s body and the police informed his family members about his death.
In his statement to the police, Venkatachalam has said that he came to know that Kishore was not attending tuition classes regularly. “On Saturday evening, he scolded Kishore and asked him to attend tuition regularly. Upset over this, the boy left home in the evening.
As he did not return till night, his father filed a missing complaint with the local police. However next morning the boy was found dead on the railway track. His father said he had no suspicion of foul play behind the death,” the police said. City Railway police have registered an unnatural death case in this connection.
