Come Monday and city socialites will be seen bidding a stylish Parisian ‘au revoir’ to their beginning-of-the-week blues. And no, they won’t need any airline tickets to visit the romantic City of Light. Instead, Paris comes to Hyderabad, courtesy a ‘curated themed morning’ hosted by entrepreneur Shalini Badruka at a city hotel.
Set in a French style café against the backdrop of the charming Parisian skyline, the event promises an interesting mix of glamour, food and fashion. Titled ‘La Tres Chic Parisian Morning’, the indulgent morning will offer people the opportunity to get together and have fun amid an exhibition of sorts.
One of the highlights of the colour-coded Monday morning will be the prizes in the form of, hold your breath, diamond jewellery! “Prizes will be given in the Tres ‘Chic’ and ‘Haute and Hote’ categories. The winners will be chosen by my dear friend Shilpa Reddy,” informs Shalini, agreeing that hosting an event in the morning does pose quite a challenge. “A lot of people have been texting me saying ‘Why are you having it in the morning? I’m so used to dressing up in the evenings?’ Well, for starters, it’s called Parisian ‘morning’, so it has to be at that time. I have invited close to 100-150 friends and I am sure that they will take the time out for just a couple of hours,” she adds.
