As news of superstar Mohanlal's upcoming film 'Jilla' is gaining ground, actress Nivetha Thomas is on cloud nine -she plays Mohanlal's daughter and Vijay's sister in the movie.
“When I was approached to play the character, I was reluctant. But when I heard the story, I realised that it was a good role and I am happy I accepted the part. We had a lot of fun on the sets," says Nivetha.
Nivetha entered Mollywood as a child artiste with 'Veruthe Oru Bhaarya' while her films 'Chappa Kurishu' and 'Romans' went on to become super hits. She says that her role in 'Jilla' is completely different from what she has done before. “I play the role of Mahalakshmi, who is very attached to her father and two brothers played by Vijay and Mahath. The story is about the deep bonding between all of them. I could relate to the character as I am very close to my father and brother in real life," says Nivetha, adding that it is the first and last time she will be seen playing a sister as she doesn't want to be typecast.
Talking about her experiences on the sets of 'Jilla', she says, “Working with Lalettan and Vijay sir was really great. I joined the shoot when I was in Class XII. Both of them were very helpful when I was juggling my studies and shooting. When I decided to take up architecture, Lalettan was very happy and gave me a lot of tips on architecture, which made me more passionate about architectural designing. On the whole, it was a great experience."...
