Saif Ali Khan's career has been yo-yoing recently with hits and misses. While 'Cocktail' had the cash registers ringing, 'Agent Vinod' and 'Go Goa Gone' were disappointing.
The star is now looking forward to 'Bullet Raja' with Sonakshi Sinha and hopes that the movie will work out in his favour.
“'Bullet Raja' shows a bakwas kind of system where the police and the mafia are involved. UP politics has been shown in a very interesting manner and one will definitely ask, 'Wow, so much of corruption?' The film showcases how while sitting in jail everything is handled through mobile phones," adds the actor.
LANGDA TYAGI VS. BULLET RAJA
As per the critics, Saif 's greatest achievement has undoubtedly been his portrayal of Langda Tyagi in 'Omkara'.
Talking about that role and the current one, he says, “'Omkara's success was not on my shoulders alone (Ajay Devgn was the hero). However, my character in 'Bullet Raja' is the hero. When you are playing a negative role you have all the support -you have a hero and a heroine. With this character ('Bullet Raja'), there was more responsibility."
'MAKE EASY DANCE STEPS'
If there's been one thing Saif has been criticised about, it's his dancing. “Let's make easy steps," he says, adding, “The idea is to be able to do your steps gracefully and enjoy it. It is not essential that you have to dance like Michael Jackson. You have to dance like Govinda... he is an amazing dancer. I like working with Ganesh Acharya as he keeps it simple and you enjoy it."
IT'S ALL IN THE PREPARATION
According to Saif, preparation is very important for an actor. “In my upcoming film 'Happy Ending, there are a lot of dialogues. I had to speak ' two pages at a stretch; this becomes difficult at times," says Saif, adding, “All the four directors I am, working with now work differently. Sajid Khan says, 'I want you to enact 10 times louder with more energy' while Kabir Khan will ask for something else. Tigmanshu Dhulia, meanwhile, has a different mode of preparation. In fact, an actor should be like Ravan with 10 heads and perform with different faces, thus satisfying his director... aap ko kaun sa face kaun sa face lena hai? yeh le lo!"
BONDING WITH THE KIDS
Due to his busy schedule, Saif struggles to take time out for his kids Sara and Ibrahim. He, however, says, “I bond well with my kids. Sara and I are more like friends. With my son, I play more sports. But, I have not been able to give time to my mom as well as to my kids. It is tough balancing our busy schedules.
