Birthday Exclusive: Naga Chaitanya
Naga Chaitanya was born on 23 November, 1986 in Hyderabad to Akkineni Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Ramanaidu Daggubati.
His grandfather is the iconic Akkineni Nageswara Rao, making Naga a part of one of the most popular families of Tollywood. In 1992, Nagarjuna divorced Lakshmi and married actress Amala Akkineni. Naga's younger brother is Akhil Akkineni.
He studied in Hyderabad, Mumbai and then moved to the U.S to polish his skills to be an actor.
In 2009, he made his debut with 'Josh' that earned him both Filmfare and Nandi awards for best male debut.
He sealed the image of a love struck boy after the release of romantic movies 'Ye Maaya Chesave' with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and '100% Love' with Tamanna. Both movies were declared hits.
In 2011, he was roped in by Ram Gopal Varma for 'Bejawada' that starred Amala Paul.
He shared space with Tamanna once again for the action packed flick 'Tadakha' which was also his first movie to be released this year.
After the positive response to 'Tadakha', Naga Chaitanya says he is happy to have shed his lover boy image and taken on action.
His forthcoming movie is the thriller 'Autonagar Surya' with Samantha that is slated to hit theatres on 27 December.
But perhaps his most awaited movie is the three-generation-Akkineni-starrer 'Manam' that will star ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. They will be seen together onscreen for the very first time.
Sources close to the makers have revealed that ‘Manam’ is loosely based on the English film ‘Back to the Future’. It is being said that Nagarjuna plays Naga Chaitanya’s son and Nageswar Rao as son of Nagarjuna! It would be re
