Woman raped in farmhouse
Hyderabad: Shamshabad police on Thursday arrested two persons for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman in an under-construction farmhouse.
The victim, who approached the police, alleged that the accused, P. Suresh, 23, lured her promising to take her for a movie and took her to the farmhouse on Sunday. He was accompanied by his friend M. Venkatesh, 22, at the time of offence.
The two accused, Suresh and Venkatesh, are labourers from Bahaduralimasta. The victim, a maid, has known Suresh for the last few months, police said.
“The victim alleged that Suresh picked her up on his bike on Sunday, while she was returning home promising to take her to a movie, and instead took her to Tondapally area.
He raped her at ‘TPR Venture’ while his friend Venkatesh waited outside,” said the IO from Shamshabad police station.
The victim on Tuesday lodged a complaint. The police has booked a case against Suresh for kidnap and rape, while Venkatesh was booked for abetting the crime. The duo was produced before the court on Thursday.
