I&B mantri Manish Tewari likens Narendra Modi to Hitler at IFFI opening

Manish Tewari launched a scathing attack on BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and equated him with Hitler.

Panaji: The Congress-BJP war of words spilled over to the International Film Festival of India as Union information and broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and equated him with Hitler and added that “celebrity endorsements” will not win him the coveted post while Tewari categorically rejected the Gujarat CM’s claim that the UPA government had been unable to garner the power of Bollywood in its centenary year and had not been able to use it for proper branding of the country.

While stating that IFFI was not just about branding, the Minister equated the BJP's top leader with Hitler and without naming anyone he said, “A dictator had once tried to brand himself through the means of Berlin Olympics.

As that attempt failed so will this. Outcomes of elections are not decided by celebrity endorsements. It is the people of the country who decide which government they want to elect,” Tewari said.

Modi should take history lessons from Sushma: Diggy

Guna: Dubbing Narendra Modi as a “number one liar”, Congress leader Digvijay Singh has said the BJP wants to make that man a PM who has no proper knowledge of the country's history and culture.

The Congress general secretary charged that Modi did not even have the knowledge possessed by a Class X or XII student.

“I think Sushma Swaraj and Murli Manohar Joshi should give tuitions to Modi for a month to improve his knowledge,” he said addressing election meetings in Chachoda constituency on Tuesday.

He said that Modi has always been known to “bite” the hand that has fed him.
