Supporters of the Lingayat strongman are pressurizing him to take a stand on whether or not to support the NDA in next year’s elections to Lok Sabha.

Sources close to the Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) leader said his die-hard supporters were disappointed that Modi did not even mention about their leader or the fact that he was on an indefinite protest demanding extension of benefits under ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ scheme to poor brides of all communities. In turn, the former Chief Minister reportedly assured his supporters that he would a take decision soon after the forthcoming session of legislature at Belgaum.

A supporter of Yeddyurappa said “We are disappointed with the attitude of central leaders of BJP as they are vacillating on reinduction of Yeddyurappa.

Though state unit leaders of BJP agreed to make way for his return, the response of central leaders has disappointed us.” Meanwhile, sources in BJP said after witnessing the impressive gathering at Modi rally’s at Bangalore, BJP leaders have come to a conclusion that the party’s Prime Ministerial candidate would work magic for the party in Karnataka.

Former Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda and former state unit president K.S. Eshwarappa too were not in a mood to pursue Yeddyurappa’s case, the sources added.
