Satyam’s crisis doc resigns

He was recently appointed as general manager of BCC's Cricket Operations panel.

Hyderabad: Dr M.V. Sridhar, one of key people who managed the Satyam crisis, has resigned from Tech Mahindra, to contribute his full time to cricket administration.

Known as ‘Doc’ in business circles, Dr Maturi Venkat Sridhar was the head of human resources at Tech Mahindra and also at erstwhile Mahindra Satyam.

He was recently appointed as general manager of the high-profile Cricket Operations panel of the BCCI.

Describing the period after Satyam 2009 crisis as most challenging in his career, Dr Sridhar said, “I?was heading the communications team for global media during the crisis. To manage and contain the negative perception about Satyam in the global media was really a challenging task. I?feel it was a learning experience.”

Summing up his 15-year-old stint in the corporate world, the Vijayawada-born former cricket said, “It was a fulfilling experience at Satyam Computers, Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra. I had successfully completed Satyam’s Fifa project. Since cricket and administration have been my favourite areas, I have accepted the position offered by the BCCI.”
