Navin Chandra, who made his debut with 'Andala Rakshasi' and followed it up with 'Dalam', is now poised for his third release 'Naa Rakumarudu'. Directed by debutant T Satya, who has assisted Puri Jagannath, the film will hit the screens at the end of this month.
“It’s a romantic entertainer and completely different from my first two films,” says Naveen, who sports a clean shaven look now, after appearing with a beard in his previous earlier films. “People recognise me as the character Surya from my first film 'Andala Rakshasi'. Wherever I go, they call out to me with the name. I’ve taken off the beard now and will be seen in a new avatar,” he adds. While his first two films were critically acclaimed, they did average business at the box office. “This film is also very important to me as I’m the solo hero,” Navin points out. Ritu Varma plays the female lead.
