Honorary event for the veterans of M’town
Paulson Study Centre is organising an honorary function, Kochiyude Vellithirayku Aadaravu for 21 veteran celebrities from the field of cinema, like Janardhanan, M.K. Arjunan Master, Paravoor Bharathan, K.G. George, Shanthakumari, John Paul and Sebastian Paul as part of 100 years of Indian Cinema celebration.
The event which is to be held on November 24 at Ernakulam Town Hall at 4.30 pm, will also be attended by directors Sibi Malayil, Aashiq Abu, B. Unnikrishnan, A.K. Sajan, Sohan Sinulal, actors like Tini Tom, Nishanth Sagar and others.“It is a tribute to them for the effort and dedication they showed towards the medium of films. When we approached them for the event, many of them expressed their regret in not being invited and being ignored at the main celebration of 100 years of Indian Cinema held at Chennai. These veterans are part of the film journey that brought us here and this is our way of showing them respect,” says P.R.Renish, an organising committee member. The event will be followed by a musical evening headed by Music director K.M. Udayan.
