Saif Ali Khan's film in Beirut panic

A bullet-ridden car causes alarm on the sets of Saif-starrer 'Phantom'

Kabir Khan’s film, tentatively titled 'Phantom', has finally commenced shooting in Beirut. The film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. Kabir, who is known to shoot his films in real locations, has been facing some difficulties filming in Beirut.

A source tells us, “One such incident occurred during the shooting of a particular scene with Saif and Katrina. The scene required several cars for an action sequence and there was a designated area to park all the cars, somewhere in close proximity to the shooting site. Trouble struck on the last day of the shoot. One of the cars, which was an old, green, bullet-ridden, bloodstained Mercedes, caused panic among the residents of that area. For the kind of situation that is prevailing at Beirut at present, with the city being sensitive on war fronts, this particular car created havoc.”

When the intelligence agencies came to know about the incident, the next day the police along with the bomb squad and the Army reached the area to investigate the matter. “Several phone calls were exchanged between the local production team and the various security agencies that were finally convinced that it was just a car required to shoot a film. Eventually the panic was put to rest and the issue was resolved,” added the source, The film is currently in the process of wrapping up its first schedule.
