Ishant Sharma named in Delhi Ranji squad for match against Haryana
New Delhi: Out-of-form India pacer Ishant Sharma was today named in the Delhi squad for their Ranji Trophy match against Haryana to be played at Roshanara Ground here from November 21-24.
After struggling for form in the ODI series against Australia, Ishant was dropped from the Indian squad for the limited-over series against the visiting West Indies which begins on Thursday.
He was named in the just-concluded Test series against the West Indies but did not find a place in the playing eleven in the two matches.
The squad was named after a meeting of the DDCA Senior Selection Committee, chaired by Chetan Chauhan, here today.
Besides Ishant, Varun Sood was also named in the 15-member squad to be captained by Gautam Gambhir.
Manoj Chauhan, Mohit Sharma and Vikas Sharma were dropped from the squad named for the earlier three matches.
In the three matches Delhi have played so far in Group A, two had been drawn while one match was abandoned.
