Birthday Special: Nayantara
Born as Diana Mariam Kurian, this fierce beauty from Kerala did her schooling from different parts of North India owing to her father who was in the Indian Air Force.
Before stardom found her, she took on modelling assignments for clothing and jewellery brands.
In 2003, she made her debut opposite Jayaram in the Malayalam flick 'Manassinakkare'. Her first Tamil movie was 'Ayya' that starred Sarath Kumar.
Barely a year in Kollywood, she scored a role opposite none other than Rajinikanth in 'Chandramukhi' and Suriya in 'Ghajini'. Both movies were declared superhits.
She scored hearts in her hometown after 'Bodyguard' with Dileep. The immense success of the movie caused it to be remade into Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Bengali. Phew!
Her most popular movies are 'Boss Engira Bhaskaran', 'Super', 'Aadhavan', 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini', 'Billa' and 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum'.

This talented lady has bagged awards for her Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam movies. Her only Kannada flick so far is 'Super' in which she was nominated for a Filmfare Best Actress.
She was briefly involved with Silambarasan Rajendar who she met on the sets of her movie 'Vallavan'.
She was involved with a very married Prabhu Deva and they were rumored to tie the knot soon after his divorce. But the couple broke up in 2012.
The glamorous actress who took a sabbatical during her affair with Prabhu Deva has returned stronger than before and signed up for seven movies in 2013!
She was seen opposite Nagarjuna in 'Greeku Veerudu' that was eventually dubbed into Tamil.
She was seen in the romcom movie 'Raja Rani' opposite Arya once again.
