Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Ram-Leela': Chuck that rule book

Indulging in dubious businesses like smuggling, illegal arms and porn movies is not cool.

Indulging in dubious businesses like smuggling, illegal arms and porn movies is not cool. Cutting off your finger in solidarity with your loved one, whose own body part was chopped off by a disapproving mother, is kind of scary and carrying a gun like one would tote a lipstick is a no-no too.

That aside, one wishes that more youngsters were like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s tragic lovers Ram and Leela.

Which girl wouldn’t secretly want to kiss a hot guy who is into her on their first date or even the first time they meet? Two reasons stop her:

a) That silly rule book which says a girl must at least wait till the third date to kiss a boy so that she doesn’t appear desperate.

b) What if the guy thinks she is “easy”?

Well, Leela kisses Ram barely five minutes after meeting him and instead of being judgemental, he happily falls in love with this feisty, passionate, strong and beautiful girl.

They don’t waste time trying to play hard or by indulging in silly games. They enjoy their romance to the fullest, even indulging in silly things like Ram bombarding Leela with cheesy texts and she showing up at his dodgy movie parlour to hang out with him.

The sweetest thing about their romance is how easy and non-complicated it is, despite the otherwise stressful situation they are part of.

Instead of unnecessarily complicating things, keeping a mental check on who calls/Whatsapps/Skypes more or paying too much attention to tedious rulebooks, why not go with the flow and enjoy a stress-free winter romance.
