Panabaka Lakshmi: Will seek Hyderabad as Union Territory

Seema ministers to put their demand for Samaikyandhra before the GoM on Nov 18.

Visakhapatnam: Union minister of state for petroleum and natural gas Panabaka Lakshmi told the media that she Seemandhra ministers would put their demand for Samaikyandhra before the Group of Ministers on November 18.

Interacting with media at the airport on Saturday, Lakshmi said they demand for keeping Hyderabad as a Union Territory for 10 years if bifurcation of the state is inevitable.

Refuting criticism against the Central ministers who were not voicing for Samaikyandhra in Delhi she said CWC had already resolved to keep Hyderabad as joint capital for 10 years.

“We have been raising our voice supporting the cause of Samaikyandhra though the Congress Working Committee determined to maintain Hyderabad as capital for both the states initially.

We all demand for unified state during our meet with the Group of Ministers on November 18 too,” she added.
