Winter brides' wedding wows

The winter wedding season is the best time to flaunt exquisite and colourful ensembles

The winter wedding season is the best time to flaunt exquisite and colourful wedding ensembles, but to be warm and stylish at the same time is a tricky affair. Indian contemporary bridal wear is full of options, and a bride-to-be should opt for different silhouettes for various functions to look like a diva.

Warm bridal styling tip for this winter would be to use luxe fabrics like tulle, velvet, matka and chanderi. Fabrics like these give a royal look in jewelled tones and also keeps the body warm.

Shades of red, royal blue, wine and green are the most celebrated wedding colours this time. For indoor functions choose peacock colours or maybe play with four to five bright colours and blend them into one ensemble.

For sangeet, one could go for a floor-length anarkali or an anarkali lehenga and for a cocktail ceremony choose a Victorian gown.

The bride's reception outfit could be a sari-inspired gown, which is a huge trend this season and looks very glamorous. Also style your garment with elongated sleeves and collars that are beautifully enhanced with textured fabrics and rich embroidery for festive occasions.
