One of Priya Mani’s recent offerings, 'Chandi', a woman-centric film in which she played a bold and brave avenging girl is being brought to Tamil as 'Anjatha Chandi'. Priya has reportedly taken an action avatar in this Samudra-directed film where she essayed the title role.
Reportedly, Priya had even learnt sword-fighting, archery and acrobatics for this social period action drama.
Sarath Kumar appears in a crucial role of a police officer who helps Priya in her revenge saga. Though the movie received a lukewarm response in Tollywood, the dusky National Award winner was praised for her efforts. Sarath Kumar, who has transformed into playing challenging roles, also proved his mettle and received accolades for his performance.
