Actor, distributor, producer, director — Ajay Devgn has many facets. He has always maintained that he doesn’t fear failure, but stagnation. Probably that’s why he has decided to try his hand at yet another avenue and is setting up his own studio.
Previously, there was news that Salman Khan and Ekta Kapoor were investing in a similar business. But it seems like Ajay has beaten the others to it. Ajay we hear, has already chalked out his plans with the help of his team of investors. “Buying land to build a studio in Mumbai is a huge investment. His team has suggested that they invest in Panvel, as it would be a more reasonable deal. The project might take some time to fall in place, but it’s definitely on the cards,” said a source.
Ajay will be the first actor of his generation to own a studio. “Earlier, renowned filmmakers like Mehboob Khan, Kamal Amrohi, Raj Kapoor, Yash Chopra would invest in studios. This will be Ajay’s costliest investment as the studio will have all the latest equipment, a dubbing facility and all the other required technical divisions,” our source claimed.
