An anguished YOGI tells all
He shot to fame with his brilliant performance in a supporting role in 'Duniya', directed by Suri of 'Jackie' and 'Anna Bond' fame, giving birth to two stars -one of the black cobra of Sandalwood Duniya Vijay and another who went onto become a star -Yogesh, fondly known as Yogi.

His other venture 'Ambara' starring opposite Bhama of 'Shylu' fame, a great talent from Kerala, is all set to release this Friday across the state. The entire team of Ambara had to face difficult conditions while shooting in Haridwar and nearby locations, and unfortunately lost a set boy -Sada while shooting the climax.
“I could not come out of depression for days. It was painful and I was shocked when I saw Sada, who was working as a set boy for Ambara, die right in front of me. No one could save him due to the robust flow of the river. He died as he could not ta swim," Yogesh recalls.
The actor further adds that he was supposed to reach the other part of the shore while crossing the river by using a coracle. “I was suppose to reach the other side for the climax scene but the set department had to make arrangements for the shoot and Sada was crossing the river in coracle when it happened. The heavy flow swept Sada and his coracle, and he It was a shock. We will miss a great crew member.
Insofar as his surprise decision to play a important but short role in art film 'Matte Satyagraha' is concerned, Yogesh says, “The story impressed me so much that I had to play the role. It is about an innocent person who works on a piece of land but is unaware that he is the owner of the land. He is also taken advantage of. The storyline is great and my fans will empathise with the character."
Yogesh is acting alongside his mother Ambuja in 'Matte Satyagraha'. His mother is busy acting in a few television serials and Yogesh's father Siddaraju had acted in 'Duniya'.
Yogesh, who had taken a break of six months to complete earlier commitments, is now back to his busy schedule. His most recent film 'Darling' is all set to release.
A love for direction has him busy working on scripts, and if everything goes according to plans, his directorial venture could go on the floors in mid-2014.
