Chennai: Woman Grandmaster Mary Ann Gomes moved into the sole lead, with 7.5 points, after the ninth round of the Women International Grand Master Chess Tournament held in celebration of the FIDE World Championship Match at Multipurpose Indoor Stadium here today.
Swathi Ghate shares the second spot with Georgian duo Keti Tsatsalashvili and Batsiashvili Nino respectively on 7.0 points each.
