Aryan Karra, Tarun Teja in India side for World Roller Games

Nineteen-year-old Tarun got a place in the senior inline hockey team.

Hyderabad: Two boys from Hyderabad have made the Indian roller hockey team for the World Roller Games to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from July 4 to 14.

Aryan Karra and Tarun Teja, bronze medallists from last year’s Asian Roller Skating Championship came out shining at the Roller Skating Federation of India’s selection trials held at Nandurbar in Maharashtra to be picked for the inline roller hockey discipline.

Sixteen-year-old Aryan is a student of St Mary’s Junior College Basheerbagh. Last September he had represented the Indian junior boys team at the 18th Asian Roller skating championship held in South Korea. Aryan is son of TV and film actress Preeti Nigam and filmmaker & actor Nagesh Karra.

Aryan and Tarun are being trained by Sports Authority Of Telangana State coach Jitender Gupta at the Lal Bahadur Stadium.
